Dynamic DNS won't start

Hello everyone,

This is Patrick, I'm a new user of freeNAS and I build up a share drive for intranet is no any problem, but when I use the dynamic DNS function that will appear the function won't start.

I would like to seek for your kindly help. Thank you.

The details as below:

1.) freeNAS 9.10.2
2.) USB direct boot
3.) use No-Ip.com
4.) Apple AirPort Extreme with port forward

Welcome to the forums! Can you please provide some more information on what DNS service you are using and how you are trying to start the "function". As you setting up a cron job?

Can you be more specific about what build of FreeNAS you are using?

I'm not at my server now, and don't recall whether no-ip.com is one of the built-in options. Look at the instructions here

If no-ip.com is not in the list, it suggests entering it in "Auxiliary parameters". The parameter would be something like dyndns_system default@no-ip.com I'm not sure what the 'default' is supposed to be. Did you try that?
