DVR to NAS backup

Hi, I have a night owl DVR system that I want to sync with my Freenas. the DVR doesn't support native FTP servers but it does have a PPPoE and DDNS capabilities. I was thinking of first using connect the DVR to the network, they access the files on my pc, and then use an auto back software to backup to a freenas but I can't access the recording on the network. Does anyone know how I can set this up?

Please give us the model number of your night owl machine. With that we can take a look at its manual and see what capabilities it appears to have.
