Does 9.3 require a SSL cert to be installed on the DC?

Hi!

I'm having some problems with 9.3, it does no longer seem to connect properly to my AD.

I saw somewhere that LDAP now requires an SSL encrypted connetion, and I am wondering if the Active Directory connection also require an encrypted connection?

It worked fine in 9.1, but after the upgrade no more, tried reinstalling and importing settings, and a fresh install and set everything up from scratch.
