When using the Wizard I selected a path as /mnt/ZPool/WindowShare/Users/"USER NAME". It does not create a data set. So the questions I cannot locate answers to are as follows:

  1. What can go into the Users home directory (i.e. can they use this location to put their documents into)?
  2. Should I create a data set for the home directory and then select its path in the Home Directory field?
  3. If creating the data set is the preferred choice, can other files reside in this data set or is it strictly for FreeNAS operating files?
If these questions are lame, my apologies in advance. If there is a book(s) that you would recommend that covers these newbie questions, please direct me to it.

Thanks for your assistance,
Steven

Anything really and yes that is where you would want them to put their documents. You could even re-map their "My Documents" to this if desired..
