I have installed Freenas version: FreeNAS-11.3-U1
on:
Dell R510 with H200 (not flashed), no VD created, SAS topology see all 8 drives
8 6TB drives on backplane

Problem:
after freenas boot to UI, drive 5 is not recognized (like empty bay)

When POST:

H200 utility see all 8 drives

When I'm booting Kubuntu with mpt_sas driver, I see all 8 drives installed

Hi @MilanLesz - If you check the forums and the build instructions you will note that you should NOT use hardware RAID. Rather, you should flash the controller to IT mode. FreeNAS' ZFS will take care of all the striping for you. ZFS needs to be able to see the hardware directly. Even having each disk as a RAID-0 is not sufficient.

Well, finally I use this guide:

H200 crossflash

and it works, now I have H200 flashed.

I tried before this guide others, but there was problem with firmware. Link in mentioned guide contains working firmware 20.00.07.00

Result is:

Controller: SAS2008(B2)
NVDATA Vendor: LSI
NVDATA Product ID: SAS9211-8i

I see now all 8 drives.

Weird is that previous firmware (IR) populated disks as independent drives, but one of them wasn't accessible.
