I have been receiving the following error from cron to scurb a non-existent volume -
cannot open 'vol2': no such pool cannot open 'vol2': no such pool usage: date [-jnu] [-d dst] [-r seconds] [-t west] [-v[+|-]val[ymwdHMS]] ... [-f fmt date | [[[[[cc]yy]mm]dd]HH]MM[.ss]] [+format] expr: syntax error [: -lt: unexpected operator cannot open 'vol2': no such pool starting scrub of pool 'vol2' cannot open 'vol2': no such pool

Things I checked -
vol2 does not exist in crontab (The active volume, vol1, is in crontab and appears to working properly)
In GUI, vol2 is absent in "ZFS scrubs" and "Volumes".

Where does this cron job coming from? Is this a bug?

Then it is a bug. Please create a report at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.

I am running 8.3.1. Should I upgrade to 9.1 before submitting a bug report?

It wouldn't hurt to upgrade first to see if it resolves the bug and then create a bug report if it did not. Do you have any plugins installed? If not, it should just be a matter of saving your config first.
