Hey All,
My server has been up and and running for about a year with no issues. I recently received the following critical error and am unsure what to do now. My server is mainly used for couchpotato,Sabnzb...etc to my Kodi boxes.

CRITICAL: Dec. 30, 2016, 7:05 p.m. - The boot volume state is ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected.

Thanks.

Sounds like the boot device died. Save your config, install the same version to a new stick, and restore your config.

Thanks dlavigne,
is there a simple how to guide? I really don't want to screw this up.
1) download 9.10.2 and copy image to new USB.
2) How do to I save my configuration and swap USB ?

Can I just not put in a USB Stick and make a back-up to it?

From the GUI
System -> General -> Save config

http://doc.freenas.org/9.10/system.html#id19

You really should have a copy of your config saved somewhere safe as opposed to waiting until crisis strikes to try and fix it.

Hey Jailer,
I now have a copy of my config saved. I used a program called imageUSB to make a copy of my existing boot USB stick. I copied that image to a new USB stick (Identical to the original) and restarted FreeNas. I performed a scrub of the new Boot Device and received the same error.

Code:
Boot Volume Condition: ONLINE One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected.
Last Scrub Run on: Mon Jan 2 13:16:30 2017

That's because you are doing it wrong. Your boot device has corrupt files, why would you make an image copy of it?

Save your config from your current install. Get a new boot device and perform a fresh installation. Open the web GUI on new installation. Upload saved config file and reboot. You were already given this advice once in this thread.

@Jailer,
I was being lazy....lesson learned. I now have a new USB boot device and mirror.It was working ok for the last few days and now have a new problem as I lost all my plugins. It shows this error now;
You must configure a default route (Network->IPv4 Default Gateway)
netstat -rn shows
Code:
[root@freenas ~]# netstat -rn
Routing tables

Internet:
Destination		Gateway			Flags	  Netif Expire
default			127.0.0.1		  UGS		 lo0
127.0.0.1		  link#3			 UH		  lo0
192.168.1.0/24	 link#1			 U		  igb0
192.168.1.106	  link#1			 UHS		 lo0

Internet6:
Destination					   Gateway					   Flags	  Netif
Expire
::/96							 ::1						   UGRS		lo0
::1							   link#3						UH		  lo0
::ffff:0.0.0.0/96				 ::1						   UGRS		lo0
fe80::/10						 ::1						   UGRS		lo0
fe80::%lo0/64					 link#3						U		   lo0
fe80::1%lo0					   link#3						UHS		 lo0
ff01::%lo0/32					 ::1						   U		   lo0
ff02::/16						 ::1						   UGRS		lo0
ff02::%lo0/32					 ::1						   U		   lo0

I set my FreeNAS to static IP 192.168.1.106 , I tried 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.0 with no luck....I'm stumped.

For the default gateway, use the IP address of your router.

Hi dlavigne,
Pretty sure I tried that last night with no success, will retry tonight and reboot router and NAS.
