Hello,

Something strange happened during a FreeNAS install. The install was complete and it was at the final page of "Reboot".

Before hitting reboot, the USB DVDROM was removed. FreeNAS then crashed and prompted on a db> console. A force reboot was required.

Is there any logical explanation as to why this would have happened? Was it still mounted before hitting Reboot and that is what caused it?

Currently the USB DVDROM is still connected, the CD is however out. As the machine is now doing live functions, we're a bit scared to just pull out the USB cable in case of another panic.

Any explanation behind this and/or what can we do to ensure that the drive can be pulled out? For what it's worth:

Any assistance would be great.
