Hi,
I'm using TrueNAS Scale Bluefin (TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.4.2 version) on a VM on proxmox v8 with 3 vcpu and 8GB RAM.
I've enabled cpu hotplug on VM (proxmox side) and I tried to add 1 more vcpu.
I see new vcpu on treunas dmesg but they stay oflline. I put them online and the system use them properly. Even htop can show 4 vcpu working like a charm.
the problem is that the dashboard still show 3 core. It seems like there is a preset value loaded at boot and it isn't update if an hotplug event arise.
The same behavior is seen if I hot remove 2 vcpu. htop shows 2 vcpu but dashboard still show 3 cores.
There is any parameter I can set to update it? or any workaround?
And last, why online cpu hotplug is disabled by default (the system notices a new cpu is present but mainteins it offline)?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion
Rosario
PS: I searched on forum for any previous case but I found only problems related to specific system HW or problem related to CPU usage/temperature.
