Hello,
I have become a recent convert to freenas, it looks great so far.
I am setting up my server for critical data that cannon be lost. So I must use zfs. I have many a horror story from corruption and 'ghost' data.
My server is an AMD x4 black 3.20ghz, 8gb ddr3
What is the best storage setup for important data, my concern is not really speed.
Internal drives: (inside the server)
2x Samsung 2tb
3x WD 1.5tb green
1X Samsung 1.5tb
1x WD 2tb (currently holding all the data that needs to goto the new zfs array)
External drives: (I would like to configure thees to have the backup from the ZFS array off the drives listed above)
WD mybook 1tb
WD external case with x2 1tb drives
ANY advice is appreciated!
Thanks
