Hello everyone,

As I keep exploring the TrueNAS capabilities I decided to make my server available from outside of local network. I am only trying to make it for NextCloud for now.

I have a Cloudflare account with a domain name connected and I run a tunnel app on Ubuntu server VM on TrueNAS Scale. I have also followed Truecharts' video guide to obtain a SSL certificate for TrueNAS: LINK

I have configured the tunnel via Cloudflare's web UI (I have followed the official guide).

When I try to connect with public hostname I get a "Bad gateway" (502). I assume the tunnel works fine and I miss some configuration on a server side.

How can I resolve it?

Try having the argo tunnel app (cloudflared) connect to your TrueNAS box via HTTP not HTTPS, for HTTPS to work you have to install an origin server certificate, which is trickier to get setup right.
