CIFS recycle bin or snapshots?

Is there a general preference on which of these to use to recover accidentally deleted files?

I am if finding the recycle bin does not work properly. When I copy files into a share the copy twice...once into the intended place and once into the .recycle folder.

I'm confused what you mean by this? You are copying files to the nas and they are appearing in both the proper directory and the .recycle folder?

Snapshots are a good idea..

Hi yes it was couong the files to both directories at the same time. Intended target and .recycle
