I set my FreeNas box up some time ago (probably about 8 or 9 months ago), and it has been working flawlessly since then, however today, I tried connecting to a share in a ZFS array , and it was unavailable, In the web browser, contacting the WebGUI leaves me with "could not connect to 192.168.1.25".

I may have changed the port for the WebGUI but I honestly cant remember. Such a change should be reflected in the httpd.conf file (I think?), but I am not sure where on the filesystem that is. I have performed a restart of the system from the host menu. Before restarting I saw that there were a number of SMART warnings, so that might very well account for the unavailability of the share.

Can anyone give me a hand getting back into the web GUI? Where is the conf file? How can I check that the httpd is running, etc?

Interestingly a port scan shows 139 (netbios) and 445 (Microsoft Directory Services) as the only ports open on the system...

Still no word on location of httpd.conf

FreeNAS settings are stored in an sqlite database in /data/freenas-v1.db

You can view the entire database by doing this:

Code:
sqlite3 /data/freenas-v1.db ".dump"

Alrighty, found it. it is at /etc/local/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf.

The problem was a port that I had forgotten that I had set (and for some reason, Lastpass does not have it in the url either. Regardless I am up and running again.
