Can you boot from either of two mirrored boot devices?

Is grub (if it is grub we are using) installed on both a) when FreeNAS is installed on a mirror and/or when a second boot mirror device is added later? I would hate to have to work this out when I had a problem with one or more boot devices, it would be much simpler to know in advance.

I am sort of hoping someone else had checked, but if no-one will I suppose I could! But only for the two device install case, as that is what I did.

Yes. If you unplug one of the drives you can still boot from the other (in fact there is some cases where a drive is so damaged that it prevents the system from booting and unpluging it solve the problem) ;)

So if you add a mirror device some time after installation what process installs grub?
