Can access CIFS on Mac but not PC.....

I have been messing with the CIFS sharing for hours but cannot get it to show up on my pc. I had it working fine the other day when I was still running on 7.2 but after upgrading to 8.3 nothing works. But every time my mac can see the CIFS share fine.

Currently I have the permissions on my ZFS volume as root and wheel.
I have a admin user account that is in the wheel group also.
I am sharing the main volume via CIFS & AFP (AFP works fine)
I also tried setting it up via guest login but that did not work also.

What are you running on the PC?
What exactly do you mean by "cannot get it to show up"?

Permissions issues are not relevant until you have the share mapped (and then can't write or can't see the content), so don't fuss with those yet.

It won't show up in my networks tab, but if I map it manually it now shows up. I am not sure why it doesn't show up in my network tab in windows explorer though.

Make sure the 'workgroup' is set the same for FreeNAS as for the Windows box, that usually sorts it out.

You didn't actually say what you're running on the PC, btw - it's difficult suggesting things without any reference points. Help us help you.
