i want to show my current system, i have 2 servers with identical specs, 1 for main, second one for backups.
specs, intel 4 core, 8GB ram, ssd for OS, 10 TB HDD for DATASET.
and this is my current backup scenario :
SERVER 1
DATA 10TB -> daily snapshots to local on 00:00
DATA 10TB -> daily Rsync to SERVER 2 (full data) on 00:00
SERVER 2
DATA 10TB (rsync from SERVER 1) -> daily snapshots to local on 00:00
iam doing this because, when SERVER 1 crash , we had full data backups from SERVER 2. CMIIW
the problem is, 10 TB data (maybe less about 6 TB) rysnc process often still ongoing on office hour, and made data acces very slow (yeah off course with those lots of data), i dont want taking risk with weekly backups, because every bad things can happen anytime,
my question, if i ONLY replicate SERVER 1's snapshots to SERVER 2, if SERVER 1 crash, how about SERVER 1's data on SERVER 2?
