I have successfully been using Amazon AWS S3 Cloud Storage, to backup my TrueNAS files regularly, works great, I'd just like a little more flexibility with Storage Class costs.
My question is can I add additional AWS Storage Classes, to the picklist in the TrueNas Core GUI - Cloud Sync Task? [Tasks] [Cloud Sync Tasks]
I would like to add S3 Intelligent - Tiering and S3 Glacier Instant Retrieval.
Currently selecting "Glacier" from the current picklist (shown in the screenshot below), saves the files as "S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval (Formerly S3 Glacier)" in AWS S3.
While this is lower cost, there are some gocha's around file size 128KB or smaller are charged as 128KB, and the retrieval options are not as fast.
I understand (and have tested using CloudBerry Explorer), that setting the HTTP Header x-amz-storage-class to GLACIER_IR works their for that APP, so it should be able to be made to work for TrueNas. I assume there is some file I can edit to add additional items to this list, please let me know if this is the case and how to edit?
