Hi, I have an Ubuntu VM installed with FreeNAS 11.2. I can use VNC to connect to the jail and ssh once configured. The serial option to connect to the jail never seems to work. The serial port is listed as /dev/nmdm1B and the console terminal attempt to connect using cu -l /dev/nmdm1B however it just hangs at this stage. Does this implementation work?
As a side note -- (and probably too much information) -- I have some old iohyve vms still installed from the system when I was using 9.3. One of the comm ports for the iohyve jails was nmdm1. The GUI console always connected to this VM although the command used was cu -l /dev/nmdm1B and not cu -1 /dev/nmdm1. I figured there could be a conflict so I changed the serial port on the iohyve VM to /dev/nmdm2. After doing this, I noticed that the GUI console terminal just hangs after giving the command. Just wondering if the implementation is broken.
