I'm posting this here because I think it might have been figured out already by some FreeNAS Mini users that have the C2750D4I motherboard.

I want to install one of the newer Supermicro SATA DOM (64GB) that can be powered from some 5 volt supply. Is there a good point to find 5 volts on the 2750D4I motherboard without having to open up my power supply cable bundle? Any thoughts on migrating from boot from USB, to boot from SATA DOM?

Well, if there is, iXsystems didn't find it for the Mini - their satadom power comes from a "4 pin Molex-fed loom" for the HDD's.

Thanks - that's probably the answer. My own FreeNAS is essentially a FreeNAS Mini clone so if they didn't feel comfortable stealing that much power from one of the front panel headers than I shouldn't either. I think I will split power from one of the data drives.
