Following my recent hardware update some feedback.
The ASRock C236 motherboard shipped with v.1 bios which did not support the new E3-1220 v6 Kabylake CPU had to use a compatible Skylake CPU to flash the bios. The i3-6100 worked well for this.
The bios update supports faster memory, 2x 16GB Crucial DDR4 - 2400 EUDIMM 1.2V CL17 (CT16G4WFD824A) works well.
Don't forget this board does not have onboard GPU so if your CPU doesn't have integrated GPU you will need to add a compatible GPU card
