Good Afternoon All,
I have a Norco 4220, running UnRaid, but one of the bays seem to have died, and I've had this since about 2011. I also have a Synology Server DS 916+ that actually is running the Emby server, but whenever it has to transcode the CPU shoots up to 99 percent. <all files are in MKV format with AC3 audio>
Anyway, I come to you Wizards, for some advice, because I would like to build a server that will be able to not take such a big hit on Transcoding should it ever arise. I have under just under five users logging in. So, I will be using the server for media streaming.
I'm a disabled Vet, so money is a factor, so I am not opposed to used equipment, if need be. lol Anyway, thank you for taking the time in reading this.
