Long time lurker, first time poster.
I decide to add more storage to the NAS so I added 4 Intel 100GB SSD 2.5" SATA Intel SSD DC S3700 Series SSDSC2BA100G3P. These drives are connected to an LSI SAS2008-IT product version 10.00.08.00. Also connected to the controller is a Kingston SA400S3 SSD that is used as the boot drive. See below.
The main data drives which are Seagate IronWolf 4TB NAS Internal Hard Drive HDD – CMR 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s 5900 RPM 64MB Cache for RAID Network Attached Storage, are connected to the motherboard SATA controller. Those are listed as ada0-ada3 in the screen capture below.
Note, that the SAS controller is flashed to IT mode. See the above screen capture.
The screen capture of the Disks page only shows 4 of the 5 SDD devices. The missing device is one the newly added Intel devises.
OS Version:
FreeNAS-11.3-U5
Model:
PowerEdge T20
Memory:
32 GiB
Below are drive related contents of dmesg:
It's odd that the SAS controller see all five of the SDD drives but that FreeNAS only sees four of them.
Suggestions greatly appreciated,
Sincerely,
