Added external NAS shares to TrueNAS for Plex

Hello,

Are there any updated posts on how to get a external shares from a synology nas to be usale in Truenas? I have shares i would like to add to my Scale server but I am not sure where to start? I am able to access these shares from my other devices but need some guidance on how to mount it to truenas.

You don't, that is not supported.

I don't want to move anything, but just give the plex app on my scale server read access to the files I have shared on my synology nas.

I won't claim you can't hack it, but the keyword there is hack. Unsupported, likely to break and entirely your problem, for better and for worse.
