Those of you that are attempting to get FreeNAS joined to your domain, and are getting the following error:
ActiveDirectory: AD_join_domain: Failed
I discovered that the account I was using to try to join the domain (a domain admin account), was configured in AD to not require Kerberos pre-authentication and was causing the failure. Be sure you check the account your AD account, under the Account tab, and make sure "Do not require Kerberos pre-authentication" is NOT checked.
Just thought I'd pass along my findings...
