Ability to add local tasks to 'periodic' daily/weekly etc.

I've got an internal mirror drive setup to which I do a daily backup of various data sets, I do this by adding a file to /etc/periodic/daily called 500.backup in this file I have a couple of rsync -ac /mnt/source/ /mnt/backup lines.

It would be nice if this could be somehow managed from the UI. :)

Tekkie, sorry for my misunderstanding, but why can't you do this with cron in the GUI? (System -> CronJobs)

i'm sorry, but where is this in Freenas 8.0 release?

see pic, that there is no cronjob in the system subtree.

It is not in 8.0, it is in 8.0.1-BETA4
