Hi All,

I recently mounted a freenas system, reusing the HDD Drives that I had in my old IOMEGA IX4 NAS.

I mounted a RAIDZ with 5 drives.

After a month using it, 3 drives with similar serial numbers failed in a week and now they cannot be found by the system on startup.

On the remaining drives I get this smartcl output

I assume that 3 drives of the same manufacturer and same age could fail this way, but I want to make sure nothing is wrong that is killing my drives so the new ones doesn't suffer.

Thanks for your help

Why aren't you running SMART tests on your drives? That might have allowed you to discover problems with your disks before they totally failed.
