Wow - I did say I was completely ignorant when it comes to this. Is everyone just super blunt. Im just trying to get the ball rolling and see if anyone has even had a similar sounding issue. I didn't think my ip address would be needed for that.

since i dont know what version of FreeNAS is on the tower or how its configured Im sorry to have wasted your time. Ill make sure and get that and reply back soon.

Yes, we are that blunt. Expect to be lamb to the slaughter if you can't talk the talk and at least provide basic info as requested in the forum rules you agreed to when you signed up with this forum. If this is unpalatable feel free to call iXsystems and do a one-time ticket with them. It's not cheap, but they'll probably have your solution without you needing to have an education in the OS.
