Running the latest FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201601181840

I added a 2nd identical USB thumb drive to mirror the boot device. Attached it through the GUI following the user manual. https://doc.freenas.org/9.3/freenas_system.html#mirroring-the-boot-device
Device mirrored fine but wondering why its showing as da17p2 and not a gptid like my original USB drive and rest. I've tried searching for this and have not been able to determine an actual answer/solution. I have tried a reboot to see if it would get relabeled with no luck. This is more of a curiosity / ocd thing you can say. glabel status shows the devices gptid, but noticed it only shows 1 partiton?

I checked mine, for the freenas-boot pool, I see the devices by name, not the guid.

Code:
  pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
  scan: none requested
config:

        NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
        freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 0
          mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
            da0p2 ONLINE 0 0 0
            da1p2 ONLINE 0 0 0

Is it properly recognized in the GUI and can you boot from it? If so, you then have nothing to worry about.

If it offends you, save your configuration, reinstall with both devices selected, then restore your configuration.

It shows fine in the GUI, I haven't tried pulling the first known good stick and booting from the 2nd.

There has to be an explanation why this new device is using GEOM in the 'zpool status'. I just tried a test, I created a new pool and added 2 mirrors, both show the GPTID.

Code:
pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0h2m with 0 errors on Sat Jan 23 15:34:54 2016

I think this is the reason... According to `glabel status` there is not an assigned GPTID for partiton 2 on my newly added USB device /dev/da17. However `gpart list` does show it. I took the USB drive straight out of the wrapper and popped it in, then attached it to the boot-pool from the GUI. Should I of needed to 'clean' it first?
