Hello,

my Zpool degraded after a reboot:

pool: ZFS-Volume
state: DEGRADED
status: One or more devices could not be opened. Sufficient replicas exist for
the pool to continue functioning in a degraded state.
action: Attach the missing device and online it using 'zpool online'.

The computer has 6 SAS disks and 2 SATA disks

How do I know which disk on the Raid-Controller has the problem?

The daily status mail (the controller is a LSI Megaraid, not 3ware):

Checking status of 3ware RAID controllers:
Alarms (most recent first):
+++ /var/log/3ware_raid_alarms.today 2013-07-16 03:01:01.000000000 +0200

Well, the "zpool status" said that one disk is unavailable, but the next means that all six disks are online!? Does the zpool now have a problem or not?

What is the status of the light on right top corner of the gui. If its anything other than green, you have a problem.

SSH into freenas and tell us the output of camcontrol devlist

It's going to be yellow. That light is based off of zpool status, and as he just showed one of the disks isn't included in the pool.

The 3ware output tells you that that there are no hardware RAIDs with disks missing. Since you have no hardware RAID its always going to be blank.

"camcontrol devlist" can only see the two disks attached on the SATA controller and the DVD device, but no SAS disks on the LSI Megaraid Controller.

And the light is yellow.

Is there something like a way of resetting the error status, to see if it happens again?

The GUI doesn't show the disk "mfid5".

How do I know which disk on the Raidcontroller is faulty? I mean the port/cable.

Well, the disk is demaged. I was a bit confused about seeing 6 hard disks with online status, but the last one is a SATA drive which is used as a cache drive for the zpool.

Anyway, a new one is on the way.

Did you figure out which disk is the bad one?

Yes, I did. The BIOS of the Megaraid Controller reported that error, too and said me the port where the disk is attached. It's port 0/cable 0. So it's the first disk.
