I am new to freenas but what ive done so far and what I know it can do it quality but I looking for some advice. Im using esxi and freenas as VM. Freenas can see all of my disks but I need to use ZFS volume to add plug ins.

My components are

CPU AMD fx8320
MOBO m5a75l m usb3 - which supports ZFS file system
H/D 4 x 3tb WD green
SSD 2 x 120gb

I currently have my motherboard running raid 1 for 2 ssds and raid 10 for the 4 hard drives of the mobo raid setup. I have a feeling this may the reason why I cannot see or add ZFS volumes.

When I create a NFS within ESXI I receive an error of "request was denied by the NFS server. Check that the export exists and that the client is permitted to mount it."

What have a I got to do to be able to use ZFS volumes.

I would like to add plex plugin so I can use chromecast and view my media via my TV.

Were you able to figure this out?
I needed to create vmfs volumes within esxi for the hard drives to be seen in freenas. Then create a freenas zfs share point and then create a NFS in esxi. Not sure if this is the correct way but it was the only was I could get it to work.
