Hi all.
I've had a search, but can't find an answer. I think the problem is being able to properly articulate the problem. Anyway, when I try to login to FreeNAS, I can't. The username/password combo isn't good enough. However, if I go to the share, and set guest access to allowed, I can access it immediately. When I turn guest access off, and wait a period of time (why do you have to wait?) and try access again, it gives me the login box again. I want a login box, but for some reason, my username and password isn't working.
I made a user called data, and a group called FW_User. I put data into the FW_User group. I changed the permissions on the dataset to be accessible by group: FW_User. I also changed the owner to data, from root - but I have a feeling this is unnecessary. With this configuration, it won't login.
One possible problem might be that I ought to put something more in the username box, like: server\data. But that doesn't work, and I'm not sure what to do.
Any help would be super.
Thanks.
