My guess is during the configuration of SNMP via GUI FreeNAS generates a snmpd.conf file. However I do not see the file in /usr/local/etc/ and more importantly find is not finding it neither in /usr nor in /etc. Where is the file located if generated at all. I am running FreeNAS 9.2.1.5

Where is supposed to be in /etc/ since it is a native bsnmp daemon . When FreeNAS switches to net-snmp in 9.3 I am guessing it will be in /usr/local/etc. It is helping immensely that I got two new vanilla TrueOS servers. The transfer of knowledge between TrueOS and FreeNAS is immense both ways. I really appreciate work which went into configuration of FreeNAS under the hood.
