When copying files "Other" user rights are auto set to "---"

Hi!
When I copy files to the shared NFS folder on FreeNAS, these files get "rwx" permisions both for the owner and a group but other remain as "---". This is the case even if the directory has "r-x" permissions for other users. Is it possible to make new files have "r-x" permissions aoutmatically on copy?
