I'm connecting through SSH to my freenas and when I'm trying to chmod a bunch of files with "find" I get a bunch of "operation not permitted".

my user's primary group is wheel. I'm sure I've used the command "su" before and type in the root password. however. Now I get su: sorry. from what I read it was a security risk so they fixed it.

what's going on? What should I do?

Your primary group _cannot_ be wheel. wheel must be an auxiliary group.

Thank you for your answer.

Can't or shouldn't?. I set my primary group ID as wheel. Do you mean I should set primary group ID to something else and just set wheel as auxilary?

Exactly what he said: do _not_, under any circumstance, make the primary group of your user 'wheel'.
