I am trying to avoid doing a complete recover of my FreeNAS so I am looking for some help in recovering the Web GUI. Running FreeNAS 8.3.

Currently when logging into the GUI I get the System Icon, expand all and collapse all and nothing else no matter what browser I am using.

Looking in the nginx logs I dont see any errors or anything to indicate a fault

/dev/ufs/FreeNASs1a 926M 381M 470M 45% /
devfs 1.0k 1.0k 0B 100% /dev
/dev/md0 4.6M 3.2M 969k 77% /etc
/dev/md1 823k 2.0k 756k 0% /mnt
/dev/md2 149M 16M 120M 12% /var
/dev/ufs/FreeNASs4 19M 1.2M 17M 7% /data

Some oddities I am seeing, which I am not sure is related, is that SSH does respond but only after a while, 10-20 mins. Other than the GUI not working correctly it seems to be functioning normally as all of the plugins and services are accessible.

The easiest answer is probably to download your config file (if you can connect to the server using ssh, it's at /data/freenas-v1.db; copy it to an accessible share, and then you can grab it on a client machine), do a fresh installation of FreeNAS to a new USB stick, and upload the config file to the new install. All your settings, users, shares, and jails will be preserved.
