Hey guys,

I have a Ubuntu 17.10 VM with Bitcoin Core on it. I want to run a node 24/7.
My only problem is that after some hours the VM just freezes. VNC freezes and network usage etc. goes down.
The only solution to this is, that I restart the VM in the FreeNAS GUI.

Has someone similar experience?

And I also get that in the CLI --> https://puu.sh/y5n0S/1da421d47a.JPG
Would post the IMG here, but it isn't displayed correctly.

Looks like 12GB of RAM is not sufficient for your use case.

Could it be the use of swap space in the VM itself that's causing this?

Got now 16GB of RAM. I did give the VM 8192MB of RAM. It still freezes after some time.

As u can see the VM only use 20% of the CPU. After some time I get this big spike and the VM freezes. And its not the Bitcoin Node who causes this.

I will now tryout to assign less RAM, and maybe get my Node on Ubuntu LTS 16.04.
