very slow network performance

Hi all,

I just installed FreeNas 8.3 in hp dl g5 with 2 gigabit ehternet adaptors:
Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5722 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express
Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (whit 4 ports)

My problem is that none of those interface reach a max of 70-80 Mb :(
no compresion, no deduplication.
Is there anything i can do to increase the trasfer rate?

What kind of performance are you getting? Is the slowness read, write or both? What types of files are you trying to transfer?

hi,

I cosider this too slow performance.i mostly use it for write.
i have expected more from gigabit adaptors.
we usualy use almose all types of files...docs most of all.
