EDIT: How embarrassing. Turns out the issue was with my router. I connected my laptop directly to the NAS and the speed increased from ~2MBytes/sec to ~35MBytes/sec.
Hi everyone!
The Problem:
Files are being transferred to my FreeNAS over CIFS at speeds of ~2MBytes/sec max.
The Hardware:
I'm using an N54L MicroServer.
Processor = AMD Turion™ II Neo N54L (2.2GHz)
Memory = 2 x 8GB DDR3 EEC RAM - KVR1333D3E9SK2
Storage = 2 x 3TB WD Red NAS Desktop Hard Disk Drive
The Goal:
My goal is to create a mirror between these two drives.
Closing Notes:
I'm currently reading through cyberjock's informative PowerPoint, the FreeNAS documentation, and various threads discussing dd / iperf. Nevertheless, I'm still a new when it comes to this kind of stuff so any advice would be appreciated!
Also, if I'm missing any important information that would aid in trouble-shooting, please let me know.
Thanks.
