Used PC for pool recovery?

Hello--

As shown in my sig, I was running FreeNAS on a custom build mini-ITX system that recently gave up the ghost.

I have a bunch of data that I need to rescue and I'm hoping the FreeNAS hive mind can suggest a readily available used Dell or something that I can attach my 4 disk SATA array to so that I can rescue the data.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a low-cost OEM Dell or HP tower that I can plug a SATA and power into?

Thanks again!

@Alecmascot thanks so much for your recommendation. I see you run that same machine in your sig.

Can you confirm that tower has 4 internal drive bays?

Much appreciated! ;)

Yes. 4 as standard but with an adapter you can run another 3 in the 51/4 bays.
Takes an H200 HBA if needed.
Also it is designed for an office so it is pretty quiet.

Hello again @Alecmascot

Quick question if you don't mind
Im not very familiar with this rig; is there some low power mode or way to sleep the system?

There are the usual Bios settings to allow the OS or the Bios to control that.
