Upgrading to 9.2.1-rc breaks AD

Hi, I have been running FreeNAS for a couple years now with very little issues, I upgrade the server every couple of months to the newest version of the FreeNAS, and last week I decided to update from 9.2 to 9.21-rc.

after I did the update, I am no longer able to connect to CFS shares from my windows 7 pc's. AD showed running as did CFS.

I noticed this morning in the AD setup that my netbios server name is TOWER and it should be tower-03. using the gui, I have tried to change it, and it always goes back to tower. The hostname in System Settings is correct as tower-03.jasit.local

Any ideas why this would happen?

If you suspect that this is due to a bug, please create a ticket at trac.pcbsd.org so it can be looked at in time for RC3 (due out late this week). Post the issue number here if you create a bug report.
