Currently have a legacy system happily running 9.10.2-U6. Want to get onto the current version. I upgraded a similar system a year ago and it took weeks to get it back to working state.

System is an ASUS H87I-PLUS board (LGA 1150, H87 express chipset) with an Intel Core i3-4130T @ 2.9GHz and 16 GB RAM.

I have three four six questions.

After reading the release notes and upgrade guides, it appears the supported way to upgrade is
9.10.2-U6 to 11 to 11.3

1) Is 9.10.2-U6 to 11 to 11.3 the correct path?

When I switch trains in the GUI and check, I see the upgrade is from 9.10.2-U6 to 11.1-U7. ie, there is no 11.0 available anymore

2) Will the 11.1-U7 install / upgrade the database, etc correctly (versus 11.0.x)?

My experience with the GUI upgrade has not been great... in fact I don't think I've ever seen a 9.10.2 install upgrade to 11 successfully using the GUI.

3) Are there any recommended practices to better ensure a successful upgrade / 'train switch' using the GUI?

finally

4) Are the older .iso files available somewhere on ixsystems.com for download?

really finally

5) Is there a better way to do this?

6) Is there something I'm doing that is setting me up for failure (at the 10,000 ft level)?

thanks for any feedback and advice... Brad
