Unable to wipe of format harddrives

Hello!

I am new to Freenas and have recently purchaed a machine with two 2tb.

I can see the disks under storage>view disks but when i try to wipe them i get an error message.

Error: Failed to wipe ada01: dd /dev/ada01: Operation not permitted

I also get an error message when i try to make a ZFS volume.

What can i do?

Have you tried a "quickwipe" as found in the manual/GUI?

Also post hardware specs and FreeNAS version.
