Hi
I have 2 HP/Seagate Constellation ES ST2000NM0001 2TB SAS drives.
They are running F/W version 01 and I wanted to see if I can upgrade it to 02.
I downloaded the HP software from here
When I run the software, it asked me to connect to my server iLO port (I am running a HP DL380p G8 one). I did that and I got a message that it was looking for me to enable telnet (I don't have that option on my iLO, only SSH).
Immediately afterwards, this two drives started to exhibit problem. I wasn't able to format them in SeaTools (format failed). I also tried to manually update the F/W using the HP .lod file but SeaTools doesn't want to do it.
I have 2 other drivers running F/W version 02 that didn't get impacted and I currently formatting them to make sure they are ready to be sold.
Is there a way to "force" F/W update on the 001 ones?
At this point, this is just me trying to get this to work
