Unable to acquire NFS file lock

We have FreeNAS with an NFS export and have been seeing an issue where our Linux clients are unable to acquire a file lock. We cannot replicate the same issue when accessing an NFS export from a RHEL server. Is this an issue with FreeNAS? Or maybe something I need to change on the clients? We are running 9.2.1.7.
