Hi
Im planning my storage and am having the main disks in a ZFS pool, no problem there.
For the 3 x planned jails though, I would like to use an SSD.
I want to keep them seperate because the main 4 disk pool will be spun down when not used; its only an overnight backup so will only spin up once per day for about 2 hours. (power here is expensive :( )
As the jails drive is a single device, it has no redundancy. It isn't the end of the world if I loose it, but inconvenient.
Given that UFS has more recovery tools available, would this be the best choice in this case?
I know UFS is obselete, but it seems a single drive ZFS is more prone to data loss in this example?
Any ideas or wisdom gratefully received :)
