Tried to rename my volume and now I can't import the new volume

I had a volume called FreeNAS for a long time but I thought i'd change it to Storage to avoid confusion.

I used in the cli

zpool export FreeNAS
zpool import FreeNAS Storage

I then detached FreeNAS in the gui - i kept the data and the shares configuration.

I rebooted and tried to import the volume (Storage) but there is nothing in the drop down menu.

In the cli: zpool status shows that i have a pool called Storage which ONLINE - I can't see anything in the gui how do i fix my problems?

In the CLI zpool export Storage
then reboot
then using Web UI import Storage

Now it is too late, but in case you are about to play with the name again, the renaming sequence should have been:

• detach FreeNAS using the Web UI
• zpool import FreeNAS Storage
• zpool export Storage
• import the volume Storage using the Web UI

thank you - the export, reboot and web gui import worked.

I read a guide online - i think in the future i'll ask here. i don't like to ask questions when i thought i knew what i was doing.

i had been putting the rename off for about 18 months because i am quite good at breaking things
