Syncing the ZFS view of its discs woith that of the Web Gui

As the Web Gui can become out of sync with the actual configuration of the ZFS data structures on disc, would it be possible to:

1. prevent loss of data

2. when the Web Gui detects something amiss, then it would sync itself with the actual data on discs

I've been attempting to deploy 8.0.1, and have found several times where the GUI doesn't show data that are on the disks. I can even share them out via the GUI, if I know they are there from the CLI.
