Upon first installing FreeNAS swap was dedicated from my datastores at 2GB each which is the default. I then had a few disk failures and had to destroy my main pool. I had to replace one drive and completely remove another. The swap partitions are there on all of my drives, but FreeNAS now will not mount the swap partitions. Is there anything I can do to get the swap mounted?

FreeNAS-9.2.1-RC-83ae0c1-x64 is the version. The drives are not encrypted, but I assume the swap partitions were as I was getting messages from geli while mounting swap. This does not happen anymore and there is no swap partitions mounted at boot.

I have a 3 drive RAIDZ1 pool and a 2 drive mirrored pool all of which have the default 2gb partition for swap allocated. Here is an ls from /dev... According to it I should have swap on ada0 da0 da1 da2 and da3... da4 is the usb stick. If there is any information I left out don't hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance for any information!

Code:
[root@bigbrain /dev]# ls | grep da
ada0
ada0p1

So how do I get the swap to mount? Or do I wait for the next RC or RELEASE?

"swapon <partition>" will enable swap on that partition. If you have the default FreeNAS partitioning then the first partition is swap (swapon /dev/ada0p1, swapon /dev/ada1p1, ...). This is only active until next reboot. It's probably easier to upgrade to a version with the fix. Also, maybe you should reconsider running RC builds in an productive environment...

It is not in production, just for home use. I decided to run the RC due to it having 9.2-RELEASE-p3 instead of just 9.2, also for the samba 4 update. Thank you for the info, and your help. Swap is now mounted and I don't see a reboot in the near future unless it is time to upgrade.

EDIT: This thread can now be marked solved. Upon upgrading to RC2 the swap is now mounted at boot. Thanks team!!!
