Hello,

sorry for the - maybe - stupid beginners question.
On my Supermicro A2SDi-8C-HLN4F there are two pin headers "Power SMB (I²C) Header" and "System Management Bus Header".
Is the "Power SMB (I²C) Header" for connecting a power supply that has a PMBus connection?
What is the use-case for the "System Management Bus Header"? What could be connected to this one?

Thanks a lot,

Thomas

The standard SMBus header is, I believe, not particularly useful.
The Power SMBus header is used with Supermicro chassis PDUs and PSUs to allow for monitoring their state, power consumption, etc.
