I just bought a used 2U Supermicro Server with an x9dr3 ln4f+ with 2x Intel Xeon 2680V1s.

Upon first turning it on it has the long continuous beep and the fans seem to be spinning at full speed. The long beep starts immediately at boot, and continuous until you power it off.

From what I gather the long continuous beep indicates it's overheating. I installed lm-sensors and all of the CPU temps are all in the 30ish degree range.

I checked both heatsinks and re-applied thermal compound (it was fine before, though) and re-seated the heatsinks and the issue persists.

Any ideas? Does this long beep actually mean an overheat condition?
